I decided to expand my horizons and do more than just navigate outside my door with Roxy. I have something to prove to myself. The things I loved to do before my legal blindness, I can still do. I need to find my purpose; I want to leave a carbon footprint of positivity behind. This adventure will be the first of many, Roxy and I will do our first half marathon. Guide dogs usually are not trained to run while guiding, but there are some schools that are innovative and do have running dog programs for the blind.
